James L. Lutfy graduated from New York Law School in 1980 and has been licensed to practice law in the State of New York since 1981 and in the State of New Jersey since 1999. Mr. Lutfy has spent the last twenty-four years practicing primarily in the area of dental malpractice. He attended Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, New York, and he did his undergraduate study at SUNY-Albany, NY, earning a B.A. in History in 1976. He has been married twenty-eight years and has four sons. In his spare time, he enjoys reading the law, the Bible, The New Yorker, The New Republic, Atlantic, Harper’s, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, classical literature, and articles relating to dentistry and baseball. Mr. Lutfy has been active in his local town’s Little League organization for over fifteen years, and serves as its tournament director, fall ball director, and umpire-in-chief. He is an avid baseball fan, and roots for the Yankees and the Mets.

Joseph Santora attended New York Law School and has been admitted to the Bar of the State of New York since 1981. For more than a decade he was associated with the law firm of Grutman, Miller and Greenspoon and developed a broad range of experience in various areas of personal injury law practice. Since the mid-90s he has achieved significant success in labor law accident site litigation and medical malpractice litigation. In 1996, he and James Lutfy formed "Lutfy & Santora," who became principal counsel for "Connecticut Indemnity," a dental malpractice insurance carrier who provided counsel for dentists being sued for dental malpractice. For the last 10 years, despite remaining active in other kinds of personal injury litigation, he has devoted the lion's share of his time in representing patients in dental malpractice litigation.
